Mandy Nguyen

Mandy Nguyen is a journalist and podcast producer with over 5 years of experience in national media and public radio.

She was an early producer at Vox’s award-winning narrative podcast Unexplainable, helping grow it to over 500,000 monthly downloads. Before that, she cut her teeth in public radio: reporting from Alaska’s mountains and coastal towns with KTOO, and later producing KQED’s flagship daily show Forum. She’s also worked in video, producing at Jubilee.

Mandy specializes in deep-dive narrative podcasts and explainers. She's also comfortable working with hosts and expert guests to produce a variety of podcast formats, from sharp two-way conversations to non-narrated segments.

Her favorite kinds of stories are those that complicate our shared narratives; stories that bring us closer to uncertainty and the unknown,  rather than away.

She is currently available for for podcast producing, reporting, story editing, and fact-checking.
